About

About Me:

I am a horticulturist by profession, a (retired) truck driver by necessity, and a child of the King by God’s gracious choice. But by the grace of God I am what I am, 1 Corinthians 15:10.

Our farm, High-Fence Farm LLC can be found at www.highfencefarm.com.

No, I am not a pastor, evangelist, or missionary. My wife and I are members at Trinity Baptist Church, in Tulsa Oklahoma. My church is located at the corner of 41st and Union. If you are in Tulsa, I would love to have you come worship with me.

About this Blog:

This blog podcast is about my desire to see God’s kingdom furthered. Within that over-arching context, I would like to see the Southern Baptist Convention return to its historical roots. I do not necessarily see this return as a theological system, ie: Calvinism, but more as a deep desire to align our faith and practice with the inspired, inerrant, and sufficient word of God. This can only take place if we acknowledge that the chief end of man is to glorify God (Daniel 4:34-37), that our minds equip our bodies for service (Romans 12:1,2), and that the person and work of Jesus Christ is the central message of the Bible (1 Corinthians 2:2). This approach is best effected in the local church by means of the expositional preaching of God’s word. That is why this podcast exists to make publicly available the preaching ministry where I am a member.

I believe that one is saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in the person of Christ alone. I believe that sufficiency (the Scripture alone) is more important than inerrancy, and that all we do should be done to the glory of God alone. In other words, I believe that the five soli of the Protestant Reformation are far and away more important than the five points of just about anybody.
